“I don’t need to send my children to a Catholic School. My husband and I will work together, with our church, and they will be fine.”
That is what I thought for the first 7 years of my twins’ upbringing. I felt that my husband and I provided them with a Christ-centered home. We went to mass at least monthly and even joined a non-denominational Christian church that had a great in-service Sunday school program for my children. We did that twice a month on top of mass. Additionally, as a public-school educator, my allegiance to public school education always chimed in my ear; I will put my children in public school. I have “good kids” and they will flourish in public schools. They will grow there and contribute positively. Then Covid hit.
Read MoreWe are truly happy with our decision to transfer our kids, they are happy and we are happy. Thank you, Mr. Petrillo and STA staff! This is our first year at STA, and we couldn’t be happier. We have truly appreciated the transparency and open communication during this time of uncertainty. From the moment we took our first tour of STA, we knew that we were making the right choice for our family. Mr. Petrillo answered all of our questions and our children expressed how much they liked the classrooms too!
Read MoreFrom the time we visited STA, my husband and I were convinced this was the school for our sons! Mr. Petrillo was very open, honest, and accommodating with us and answered all of our questions. We have always been very comfortable addressing any concerns and have been completely content with the education our sons have received and will receive in the future.
Read MoreWe switched to Notre Dame this year because we knew that if we were still in a remote situation in September, we wanted to make sure our children were getting quality education and interactive classes. Having heard some great recommendations from friends, we took the tour to see for ourselves. As we spoke with Mr. Valvano and Mr. Reid, we got to see their views on how they were dealing with the ever-changing circumstances and just their vision for the school, overall. We were convinced that this would be the right decision. 5 months in, we have no regrets. It has been every thing we expected and more.
Read MoreThe decision to send our boys to Holy Trinity, and provide them with a tuition-based education rather than utilizing the local public schools, was not one that was made lightly. Five years ago, we were overjoyed to begin our family with the birth of our son, Lucas, and we were determined to be the very best parents we could be. A year later, we began forming friendships with families from Gymboree and other playgroups. While we enjoyed their company, there was something missing. Nick and I felt we were alone in terms of the values we were trying to instill in our children.
As a family we have been so abundantly blessed to have our children attend Holy Trinity since September 2018. It has been three years since we transferred out of one private school with which we were unhappy and took the chance on Holy Trinity. How did it go? The answer is it that it went better than we could ever have imagined and no words alone, seem to do justice to the excellence that this facility embodies. Holy Trinity coming into our lives has felt to our household like a higher being had His hands in our transfer.

This is the last year our daughter Kady will be attending St. Michaels Catholic School. Six years ago, my husband and I decided that St. Michaels school would be a good choice for Kady’s education journey. I mentioned to Kady that I was going to write a testimonial about our experience at St. Michael. I asked her what she loved best about attending St. Michaels school. Kady immediately said, "the teachers." Kady stated that the teachers have inspired her to do her best.
Read MoreIt is my pleasure to write this testimonial about St. Joseph School, an institution that so positively transformed and influenced my life and the lives of my children Indira and Kamron.
Indira, a student of special-needs, and Kamron first joined St. Joseph’s in September 2018. At that time, our family had just moved to Jersey City and was facing many challenges: financial, cultural, and educational. Everyone at St. Joseph’s was aware of the difficulties ahead, and despite them, we were welcomed with open arms!
