IHA Campus Ministry presents Legacy Day for Class of 2021

Township of Washington, NJ: Immaculate Heart Academy Campus Ministry presented Legacy Day for the members of our Class of 2021, an outdoor, socially distant parent and student retreat to celebrate sisterhood, family, and this special graduating class! 

Seniors and their parents joined together in three separate groups on April 24 and 25, 2021 for a tented brunch at Biagio’s Restaurant, Paramus. Speakers included Miss Kerry Carroll’04, current assistant principal for faculty & instruction and newly appointed principal as of July 1, 2021; Mr. Bob Fazio P’09, ’12, ’18, president of Don Bosco Prep and parent of three IHA graduates; and Mrs. Sarah Shutrop, director of formation, who planned Legacy Day for the Class of 2021.

Parents/guardians surprised seniors with heartfelt personal letters and prayed over their daughters as they come to an end of their high school careers and prepare to head to college. Thank you to Ms. Patricia Molloy, president; Mr. Jason Schlereth, principal; and Mrs. Alice Rogers P’07, ’09, ’13, assistant principal of students, for their guidance and leadership in making the last weeks of the seniors’ time at IHA truly special. Students took home a 2021 shirt, custom IHA cookies, and a heart-shaped map keepsake of IHA’s location—as a reminder that they will always have a home at the heart.
