The preschool and childcare programs available in the Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese of Newark provide creative play and learning for children of pre-kindergarten age. Our programs in early childhood education offer a wide variety of activities that align to the abilities and interests of the children enrolled.
Each day, pre-kindergarten students have the opportunity to experience prayer, individual and small group learning, music, art, children’s literature, language development, activities to encourage motor-skill development, and time to enhance their social skills.
Research clearly indicates that children who receive formal preschool education are more likely to succeed in kindergarten, and that the benefits of of early childhood education last well beyond a student's academic years. The preschool programs offered in our Catholic schools are part of established learning communities overseen by experienced principals.
